This is a full-time on-site role for a Transport Planner located in Cluj, Romania.
The Transport Planner is responsible for efficiently planning shipments to minimize empty kilometers and idle time while ensuring compliance with loading/unloading slots, driver working hours, and cabotage rules.

Key Responsibilities:
-Plan optimal routes and asset allocation (trucks, trailers, drivers), creating new routes when necessary.
-Schedule assets for regular maintenance and MOT in designated areas.
-Balance loads and fleet availability by coordinating with customer service and forwarding teams.
-Monitor fleet capacity, adjust external carriers, and communicate discrepancies promptly.
-Prioritize shipments based on customer importance and network gaps.
-Provide clear instructions and feedback to fleet managers; report delays or issues timely.
-Maximize fleet utilization, anticipate problems, and propose solutions.
-Offer alternatives to meet customer requests and identify operational bottlenecks.
-Take ownership of achieving operational targets.

-Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
-Must speak English fluently

Preferred:
-Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field.
-Experience in transport planning, fleet management, or logistics coordination.
-Knowledge of transportation regulations, including cabotage and driver working hours.
-Proficiency with route planning and optimization tools.
-Strong communication skills for cross-team coordination.
-Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
-Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
-Customer-focused and solution-oriented approach.
