As an assistant freight forwarder, you support the organization and coordination of transport assignments within a dynamic logistics environment. You ensure that assignments are correctly received, entered, and followed up, and you regularly interact with customers, carriers, and internal colleagues. You work closely with freight forwarders and planners and contribute to the smooth operation of the daily transport process.
You will be responsible for processing transport orders in the system, confirming data with carriers, and identifying discrepancies, which you will coordinate with the responsible colleagues. Additionally, you will contribute to efficient planning and optimal loading rates. You will also maintain contact with customers and suppliers to inform them about progress and any special circumstances. An important part of your job is administrative handling. You will check transport documents and invoices, ensure that data is recorded completely and correctly, and archive them carefully. You will actively request missing information. In addition, you will identify complaints and ensure correct registration and follow-up, so that the quality of the service is guaranteed.
