Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you serve as the primary point of contact for one or more clients and play an important role in strengthening and developing the customer relationship. You ensure that daily operations run smoothly, maintain oversight, and think proactively with both clients and internal departments. No two days are the same, and it's precisely this variety that energizes you.

In this role, you work independently and are responsible for correctly adhering to agreements, processes, and procedures. You have daily contact with clients and colleagues, advising on transport options, delivery times, and rates. Additionally, you process and manage transport orders and associated data, and ensure correct handling of self-billing. You monitor agreed-upon arrangements and promptly flag any deviations or bottlenecks in the process.

You also prepare and analyze reports to identify areas for improvement. You are able to professionally resolve questions and complaints and actively contribute ideas for structural improvements. You proactively maintain contact with clients to evaluate the collaboration, identify opportunities, and implement improvements. When volumes change or operational challenges arise, you respond promptly and provide appropriate solutions. In doing so, you work closely with various internal departments to ensure optimal service delivery.

For this role, you preferably have experience with a Transport Management System (TMS) and administrative data processing, or are motivated to quickly master these skills. Additionally, you have knowledge of transport and logistics processes, relevant regulations and legislation, and transport and border documents, or are willing to further develop your expertise in these areas.

In short, you are the central hub who, with oversight, communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset, contributes to an efficient and smoothly running operation.
