As a Logistics Engineer, you play a crucial role in the optimal functioning of our Transport Management System (TMS) and Plantool. Together with the management team, you ensure that the TMS seamlessly aligns with and integrates into the daily operational processes. You are visible on the floor, actively liaise with operations/planning, and ensure that colleagues in operations and the Customer Service department are optimally supported and coached in using the system.
Throughout the day, you proactively address process and operational bottlenecks that arise, such as IT and TMS/Plantool-related disruptions. You don't wait, but take ownership, adjust where necessary, and ensure that issues are resolved quickly and structurally. In doing so, you keep stakeholders focused and involve people in improvements.In addition, you play an important role in the implementation of new customers. You translate customer wishes into efficient logistical processes and ensure a correct setup of the TMS, so that new customers are smoothly and successfully started within the warehouse.Furthermore, you actively contribute to the continuous growth and improvement of our logistical processes. You initiate and realize improvement projects with the aim of making processes smarter, faster, and more sustainable. By collecting and analyzing data from various sources and performing cost analyses, you provide valuable input for decision-making.
